Ahead of rescheduled March 18, Governorship and State House of Assembly Election, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for Takum Local Government Area 1 in Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar John Tanko Yusuf has expressed confidence that he would emerge winner as member representing Takum 1 in the state house of Assembly.

INEC has rescheduled governorship and house of assembly election from March 11, to March 18. 

He noted that the current trend in voting populace has shown that the electorate were voting for candidates irrespective of the political party they belong. 

According to him, “I am very optimistic that I will emerge as the winner of the election. I don’t want to blow my trumpet, but I do not feel any iota of doubt that the people have confidence in my capacity to represent them. I am highly confident that March 18, will go the way of PDP in Takum as regards the State Assembly and governorship election.”

He posited that PDP fielded the most qualified candidates in the governorship and State house of assembly election in Taraba State.

Yusuf called on those who did not come out to vote in the last presidential and national assembly election to do so come March 18.

He expressed satisfaction on the peaceful election that was held during the last presidential and national assembly election.
