An Enterprise Communicator Dayo Benjamins – Laniyi (Mrs) has described Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Candido, the former Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (2016 – 2022), as a special breed politician. She made the statement during the launch of a biography of Abdullah Adamu Candido, at the National Women Center (NWC) Abuja. Speaking at the event, Benjamin-Laniyi, who was the Chief  Launcher at the event took time to talk about the person of Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Candido.

She said that Candido brought a lot of new things to the AMAC administration. She gave Kudos to Candido for choosing to collect half of his monthly salary for the six years he was in office. She also eulogized Candido for introducing yearly benefits to past chairmen and their vice which started with payment of five hundred thousand naira to a former chairman and three hundred thousand naira to the vice chairman.

Dayo Benjamins-Laniyi also spoke about the chances of APC doing well in FCT and in other parts of the country in the forthcoming elections.

The book “Abdullahi Adamu Candido: Service of Distinction (Golden Footprints and Selected Speeches” was written by Dayo Lawal, who was Special Assistant to the Ex-AMAC Chairman Abdullahi Adamu Candido on Media, Public Relations and Documentation.

The book was given to guests at the event free of charge as directed by Abdullahi Adamu Candido.
