Recently, it was a roadblock for motorist plying the popular Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama District of Abuja, and its adjoining routes as the Federal Capital Territory of All Progressive Congress (APC) staged a mega rally in support of its presidential and vice presidential candidates, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kassim Shetima respectively.

The rally moved from the Unity Fountain and ended at the Eagle Square.

Several support groups were present at the rally. Notable amongst the support groups was the Northern Young Professionals for Tinubu/Shetima.

Speaking exclusively to our correspondent, the National Coordinator of the group, Abdullahi Tanko Yakassai noted that the turn out of the mammoth crowd showed that Asiwaju Tinubu had tremendous support in the Federal Capital Territory.

He maintained that the support groups that were present at the rally were grassroot based and had the capacity to wield grassroot support which would translate to a large number of votes for Tinubu/Shetima.

Yakassai called on those who were yet to collect their permanent voter’s card to do so to enable them exercise their franchise during the election.

In a similar development, The Director General, TPAND, Engr. Yusuf Hussain posited that Asiwaju Tinubu had a track record and leadership capacity above all the other candidates aspiring to be president of Nigeria in the February 2023

election.

He asserted that his  support group, TPAND, was ready to mobilize grassroot support to enable Tinubu and APC to win massively in FCT in particular and Nigeria in general.

Hussain called on the youths to vote for the Tinubu/Shetima ticket considering that they both had youth friendly policies.
