A participant in Course 4 2021 of Army Resource Centre Abuja, Maj. Gen. Habila Vintenaba (Rtd) has posited that the task of developing Nigeria is the responsibility of every Nigerian. He made this disclosure at Army Resource Centre, Abuja when a group known as Youth in Nigeria Peace Initiative (YINPI) honored him with the award of Peace Icon and Youth Developer.

Speaking during the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Vintenaba (Rtd) explained that the task of developing the country depends on every Nigerian. He noted that the youth constitute the largest working population in the country. He argued that if the youth are not taken along in development activities, there is bound to be some serious challenges. His words; “The responsibility of growing and developing Nigeria depends on all Nigerians. And we know the youth is the largest working population in the country. If the youths are not taken along, definitely Nigeria will have serious challenges as it grows as a nation”.

He therefore called on other well meaning Nigerians to ensure they carry the youth along through empowerment and education. “My call to others is to ensure they carry the youth along, empower the youth, educate the youth and take care of the youth so that we can have a virile nation”, he emphasized.

The award ceremony took place at the Army Resource Centre Abuja, in the presence of his classmates of course number 4, year 2021.

The programme according to Maj. Gen. Vintenaba (Rtd), is on senior management and policy and security studies strictly for senior staff in Nigeria security based organizations. He explained that students were nominated by their organization to be part of the course.
