Buhari has made a landmark achievement in the area of Security– Ambassador Ardo

Amb. Hassan Jika Ardo

A former Nigerian diplomat, Amb. Hassan Jika Ardo has posited that President Mohammadu Buhari has made a landmark achievement in the area of security. He said this in a chat with newsmen in Abuja.

In assessing the works of Mr. President in the past six years, Amb. Ardo noted during the chat that security is one of the cardinal objectives of the present administration. He pointed out that despite the effort the government is making to bring full security to the country, some people are working against it.

To support his assertion that the president has done much in the area of security, he said that over 27 local government areas in the Northern part of Nigeria were under the control of Boko Haram.

And now, according to him, there is no local government area anywhere in Nigeria that is under Boko Haram control. He also said that most internally displaced people (IDPs) have gone back to their various homes and started normal life.

He also explained that before the emergence of President Buhari, that many states were not safe which made a lot of people to relocate to Abuja. This according to him has been taken care of by the administration of President Buhari.

Another thing he pointed out to support his submission that this administration has achieved much in the area of security is that there used to be bomb blasts in different locations in the country. He gave examples of the bomb blast at Madalla in Niger State near Abuja, the bomb blast at Nyanya in Abuja and many other places. He said that since Buhari came into office such incidents have become a thing of the past.

He sums his assessment of the security situation of this administration thus; “So the president has made landmark achievements in the area of security since he came in”.
