
Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo

Arising from a national caucus meeting and a screening exercise carried out by the African Democratic Congress- ADC screening committee which was held in Awka on Tuesday 29th. June 2021, Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo who just recently defected to the party from the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, having been earlier disqualified to contest the Anambra State gubernatorial election by his former party, addressed newsmen.
Mr Nwankpo who was obviously elated and up beat, expressed confidence in the new party he joined – highlighting how he was actually drilled during the screening exercise.
In his further reaction why he quickly defected to ADC, he stated that he had a burning passion to still carry on with his dream of making Anambra State greater and better despite the way he had been unfairly treated by his former party.
He also pointed out the fact that ADC as a political party was founded squarely on the ideology of integrity, sincerity and honesty; maintaining that these qualities have provided him with a dependable platform as a game changer in the 6th. November, 2021 gubernatorial election in the state.
Barring any unforeseen internal political party drama or fireworks, Nze Nwankpo is poised to emerge as the party’s gubernatorial flag bearer after the primary election scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 30th.June, 2021 in Awka.
In a separate development one of the aspirants: Mr Afam Ezenwafor has just pulled out of the contest citing recent development in ADC and absence of level playing field as his reasons for withdrawing from the primary election.
He also debunked the rumour that he had been paid off by the ‘new bride’ that just joined the party.
