COVID-19: Bimkaf and Friends give foods to needy Nigerians
Bimkaf and Friends Helping Hands is a group of friends who come together to provide succor to needy Nigerians at this time of lock down caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
Before the coronavirus pandemic, the group led by Ms. Abimbola Ayeni has been helping needy Nigerians in several ways. At this time of lock down occasioned by COVID-19, the group in their usual way contributed food items and went out to distribute them to needy Nigerians.
The packs contain different food stuffs ranging from garri, beans, rice and soup condiments.
The group has been able to distribute food stuffs to around 210 families in Kuje, Lugbe, Jahi, Kpegyi (in Kuje), Mararaba, Kubwa and Jikwoyi.
Ms. Abimbola Ayeni says the gesture is the groups’ little way of reaching out to the needy at this critical moment.
The method used by the group to get those who truly needed the palliative was through social media publicity. The group asked the social media followers to nominate those who are not having it easy at this point in time. That is why the beneficiaries come from far and wide.
The following are names of some of the people that provided the palliatives to the needy; Mrs. Angela Ajala (Awep National President), Mrs. Amede, Mrs. Olubanke Akintunde, Mrs. Ope Ogungbade, Dr. Bola Badmus, Dr. Osude, Mrs. Helen and others.
