A group of Singapore businessmen led by Adam Tau, of 3k Positive Energy, are partnering with ETPM Nigeria to train Small and Medium scale, Entrepreneurs, SMEs, to enhance their technical capacity to increase quality and productivity.
Speaking at the sidelines of an event with stakeholders SMEs on enhancing the training and opportunities in the SMEs,
Adam Tau said ” We a positive training company in Singapore, We train students and aspiring Entrepreneurs on how to grow their businesses, personal development, not just in Singapore alone, but places like Malaysia, China, Cambodia within Asia.
We are in Nigeria to explore, not just how we can develop the skill quality and entrepreneurship level, but also create a bridge between Singapore and Nigeria, to facilitate more business growth here, impact some of the experiences that Singapore as a nation what we have done to grow our country. We hope to bring that expertise to make more business grow.
The Country Director ETPM, Nigeria, Festus Daniel said We have trained about 80 lecturers in Abia state University, whose impact now is estimated to have reached 5000 students, and 100 young entrepreneurs on various skills that would engage them.
He said, In the middle of the year we got a break through from Australia, where I studied for MBA. We got the e Learning platform for vocational education, training, so we have it for training on various skills, to put our entrepreneurs in the proper perspective.
The President Rotary Club of Abuja, Maitama Central, Rotr. Chidi Maduka, a couple sponsor of the project said as Rotarian our core mandate is community development and SMEs, drives the economy, the partnership with Singapore in the direction is a welcome development and we would be working towards the establishment of Singapore/Nigeria Chambers of Commerce .
The National President, Motor Mechanics, Technicians Association of Nigeria, said the agencies of government are at best making proposals. We want to use this medium to address agencies of government such ITF and SMEDAN, to ensure that anything they propose they pursue it to the end whether at Federal or State level. Otherwise they better not come out to make promises without fulfilling them.
National Secretary Community Based Farmers Association In Nigeria, COMBAFAN, Mr Nev Titus, called on the organizers of the training, to replicate the event, where Farmers, input suppliers, banks and produce off takers. I believe the event if hosted will help stakeholders to understand each other’s expectations and will create synergy among them for ease of doing agribusiness.
