The “Aha Eji aga Mba” Chief Emmanuel Chuwwuemeka Iwuanyanwu has said that the 2019 elections will hold. He made this statement in Abuja, in an interview with newsmen. He said that as a people are ready for it, but the problem is that there is factor of corruption in this country which actually is most disturbing.
Chief Iwuanyanwu just delivered His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the presidential flag bearer of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in next year election.
According to him, the level of corruption in this country is very disturbing. “The corruption in this country has got to a point that everybody should be concerned”, he said.
He gives the APC government knocks when he said they accept very corrupt people into their fold. He says when these people start praising APC, the president and so on, their case files will disappear. “Those whose cases are so bad join APC and the APC welcome them. If APC wants to fight corruption, if somebody is quite corrupt APC should not allow them in” he advised.
He maintains that APC cannot say that they are not corrupt.
Chief Iwuanyanwu has concern for the youth thus, “My major concern is the future of Nigeria, and the youths of Nigeria”. He says some future leaders are trained to be corrupt. “There instances of people who get admission by paying bribe, there are instances of people in universities whose degrees are fake in that they do what is called sorting”, he buttressed.
He advised that the government should make corruption a course to be studied in schools so that people will understand that it is bad.
On how ready PDP is for next year’s elections, he says; “We in PDP, our chairman has come to publicly apologize to Nigerians. We are now trying to have a completely transformed PDP. The crop of people you will see in PDP in 2019 will pass through proper orientation when we win on how to rule people”.
“We members of PDP want to start the process of orientating Nigerians from our party. You will see that crop of governor that will emerge in the PDP will be completely new brand, because our chairman was humble enough to say, we are sorry” he concluded.
