The Sales manager of ABUMET (a subsidiary of Julius Berger), Amaka Obanya was at the just concluded Abuja Housing Show to represent the company. Speaking to newsmen at the event she explained contributions of ABUMET in Nigeria economy.

ABUMET according to her is into construction. Her words; “ABUMET a subsidiary of Julius Berger and into construction with focus on aluminium and glass solutions to windows, doors, railings, curtain walls, sliding doors, security doors (bullet proof) etc.”

ABUMET Nigeria Limited which was founded in 1991 is based in Jabi Abuja. It is one of the leading aluminium and glass solutions in Nigeria. ABUMET has technical know-how, high standard of production and fully equipped factory with cutting head technology. Some of their products were on display at the show.  It has six production lines in a 6,000 sqm production hall that delivers well finished aluminium products, tailored to meet even the most challenging project requirements from single standard windows to sophisticated design masterpiece.

On the challenges facing the company Amaka says; “home owners are becoming more discerning when it comes to building and building materials and building staff”. That is why the company has gone into production of wide variety of products.

It offers automatic doors, such as sliding doors, swing door operators, revolving doors, single and double wing doors, curved sliding doors, and folding doors; projected, side hung, sliding, and fixed glazing windows; and unitized, structural glazing, and stick curtain walls. The company also provides glass solutions, such as glass sliding doors, frameless glass doors and partitions, sliding stacking doors, canopies, structural glass fittings, balustrades, glass shower systems, and glass products. In addition, it offers aluminum composite clad-dings and cladding systems; fire rated, burglar resistant, and bullet proof windows, doors, and facades; blast protection foils; access control products; and door furniture and accessories. In addition, the company provides special constructions, such as skylights, glass railings, louvers, and sun protection systems; and consulting, engineering, planning and design, construction physics, structural analysis, maintenance, and spare parts supply services.
