The DG New Generation Movement for Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization,Engr. Chidi Ohamuoh, has said the reason for supporting Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for president stems from the fact that he is a liberalist. According to him, it was Atiku Abubakar that that gave Obasanjo the idea to establish EFCC, ICPC and NDLC when he was the Vice President of Nigeria under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He says that Atiku will be able to manage the country the way he has been managing his businesses. His word “He is the manager of his businesses, somebody who manages his business well can manage the country well”.

On the strategy he will apply to garner voters to join his organization, he says he has been meeting artisans and providing them with ID cards on registration. And he makes sure members of his organization have PVC. “We tell people, when you are returning the membership form come with your PVC then we will give you ID card. If you watch the artisans and business men, most of them don’t have any form of ID. When you tell them this it will interest them. And that gives us an edge over other groups”, he revealed.

According to Engr. Ohamuoh, the major problem facing the association is funding. “The challenges we are having is that we have being funding it on our own personally. I have been funding it to this extent” he added.

The national woman leader, Mrs. Emilia Oguadimma who resides in Enugu has been another major financier of the association. Mr. Emma Babayambiu Enna is the National Organizing Secretary.

A major stakeholder, Hon. Okonkwo Clement Chukwunemeze told our reporter that the organization is highly coordinated. He says PDP is the dominant party in his state, Enugu State.

He revealed that he has been mobilizing youths in his local government area to get their PVC and be ready for the forthcoming election.
