Ecuador envoy partners YJF, to host monthly Youth dialogue

The Ambassador of Ecuador to Nigeria, Leopoldo Rovayo Verdesoto, is partnering with the Young Journalists Forum, YJF,  towards actualizing a monthly youth dialogue, commencing from January, 2017.

 

This was contained in a statement by the  Coordinator and

Secretary of the YJF, Comrades Chukwuma Nzeh, and Ene Okon, respectively and reads

during a visit by the Coordinator, Young Journalists Forum, YJF, of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ,  Comrade Nzeh, to the  Embassy, of Ecuador in Abuja, where he had an interactive session with the Ambassador, on build the capacity of young media practitioners, recently in Abuja.

 

According to statement,  the youth dialogue is a platform,  that aims to strengthen healthy communications amongst youths professionals, by cross fertilising ideas to enhance national development, strength our diplomatic ties with the Government  and people of  Ecuador,  exchange of local experiences for global peace.

 

Ambassador  Verdesoto, noted that the Embassy will make available the Press Office monthly for the dialogue. He also said he would participate and make available the Ecuador experience to enrich the platform.

 

The event is to hold monthly, at the Press Office, of the Embassy of Ecuador, in Abuja, starting from Friday 27th,  January, 2017, under the theme  “understanding,  challenges of Migration.”

 

The dialogue will also have representatives of selected youth groups from other civil societies organizations to ensure broader participation.

 

It would be recalled that, YJF, in November, 2016, commenced a sustained campaign against worst forms of Illegal migration in Africa, at the National Press Centre, Radio House Abuja.
