NOUNAA’s President calls for unify alumni …Vow to crush trouble shooters

The president-elects of the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) Comdr. Olatunde Gbadamosi has said that his new team of elected officers will work assiduously to unite members of the association together, as he vow to crush all trouble shooters who are working to destroy the association.

Gbadamosi who was elected on Saturday, 19th November 2016 alongside twelfth others said he is aware of the challenges facing the association at the moment which he identified as the opposition by the Board Of Trustee members which has led to them (BOT) ordering the frozen of the association’s account and illegally withdrawn some cash.

According to him, “We are aware of all these issues, but we need to unite together first as members of the association before we can fight the course as a body. And by the grace of God, once we are inaugurated come December we shall move into action in order to deal with the identified challenges,) he said.

Earlier on, the chairman of the electoral committee, Mr. Fatona Ayoola urged the president-elects and his team to lift the association from its present position to an enviable height, stressing that the association which commands over 50, 000 members has the capacity to be the greatest in the globe.

The president-elect called on all members to come out and contribute their quota for the growth of the association as he promised to run an open door policy within the period he will tinker the affairs of the association.

Meanwhile, two members of the BOT; Tanze Danjuma and Isaac Akpololohor were arrested by the security officers at the elections’ venue while trying to destroy the ballot boxes, while Onifade Oluwatobiloba escaped the arrest by a whisk.

Investigation shown that BOT members had earlier written a petition to the Gwarimpa Divisional Police Officer urging him to stop the said election, but when they discovered that the police did not adhere to their quest for lack of substance in the petition, three of them stormed the elections’ venue with the intention to destroy the elections’ materials but luck ran out of them and were arrested.
