Emem appraises the new NIPOST Stamps

The Nigerian Postal Services (NIPOST) has launched four Special Anti-Corruption Postage Stamps, to immortalize the work of Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

The Deputy Postmaster General (Special Duties), Apostle Dr. Samuel Emmanuel Emem said the introduction of the new postage stamps is to help sent the anti-corruption message to the world where the postage stamps will find their ways when used on letters. The stamps which cost fifty naira each, according to the postmaster general will help Nigerians both home and abroad to support the fight against corruption.

In his address the Postmaster General, Bar. Bisi Adegbuyi says the introduction of the anti-corruption stamps will promote the country’s image in many ways and his organization will support it. He captures it thus; “Your Excellency, it is worthy of note that since the introduction of Philatelic Services in Nigeria in the 60’s, its role in promoting Nigeria’s socio-political, economic, educational and cultural activities has grown steadily. We will not relent in our effort to support and project all laudable government projects and programs for the overall progress of our dear country- Nigeria”.

The highly attended event took place at NIPOST Corporate Headquarters, Abubakar Argungu House, Garki Abuja.
