Chairman, Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Hon.
Peter Yohanna Ushafa, has said that the vision of his administration
was to drive internally generated revenue (IGR) that would enable the
area council stand buoyant amidst any economic crunch such that the
country is witnessing.
Ushafa who stated this at the ground breaking of Dawaki Ultra-Modern
Market noted that market policy in the area council was such that it
goes beyond individual.
According to him, all the modern markets constructed in Bwari Area
Council were of international standard citing Dutse and Kubwa markets
as typical examples.
He said, “It is the vision of this administration to drive IGR that
would enable it pays salaries, allocation notwithstanding. This
project is all about Bwari Area Council. It is all about the people.
It is all about Dawaki. It is about employment generation before and
after the completion of the project. And the incoming administration
would continue from where I stopped.”
Meanwhile, Chairman, Eflaaye Ltd (firm handling the construction
project), Chief Patrick Ojo stated that the project consisted of 450
stores, administrative offices, a fire service station, library,
banking hall as well as access road.
Soliciting for the cooperation of the host community, he assured the
people that the project would be completed within the stipulated time.
