AFIDEP meets in Swiss to enhance African Development

The African Infrastructure Development Partnership, AFIDEP, based Switzerland is set to contribute towards a sustainable development of the African continent in relevant sectors through its upcoming Investment Convention to be held in Zurich come October.
The three-day forum kicks off in Zurich, Switzerland October 22nd, 2015, tagged “The Private-Public Partnership or PPP Initiative 2015”, will bring together established speakers based in the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and other parts of Africa.

 

In a statement by the Dayo Ogunsola,CEO/Coordinator and reads “The AFIDEP forum will bring together leading figures from the public and private sectors to engage in a dialogue surrounding the benefits of working together to benefit all the stakeholders in African infrastructure investment opportunity.”
According to Dayo “The event will exhibit numerous project investment opportunities from across Africa, as well as showcase Public Private Partnership success stories. Willing project owners will have the opportunity to pitch and market projects to investors and potential technical partners. “
“With the strong believe that infrastructure is important for development; the convention will focus on creating awareness and winning investors to collaborate with private companies and governments across Africa in addressing acute public infrastructure deficiencies and using this model to generate jobs and social problems facing the continent.”
“In the end, it is expected that participants will be able to acquire a wealth of knowledge on the use and implementation of Public Private Partnerships and what is known as Build, Operate and Transfer, BOT, and win investor for their projects.”
