Rotary District 9125 Inaugurates Omotosho As Governor

Rotary club District 9125 Asokoro, Abuja will inaugurate Dr. Mike Omotosho as Governor of the District on Saturday 25th of July 2015.Dr. Omotosho shall be in office for the twelve months from the date.

He is a pharmacist and progressive consultant with broad-based experience in the health sector. He is known to have consistently extended kind gestures in different empowerment programmes to Nigerians through his Mike Omotosho Foundation.

\Sustainable Health International (SHI), the organization where Dr. Mike Omotosho currently serves as Chief Oversight Officer is also involved in sundry humanitarian activities. It is on record that SHI has significantly contributed to the widespread distribution of sustainable healthcare delivery especially in areas as it relates to reversing Malaria, Pneumonia, HIV/AIDS. It is believed that SHI has impacted no less than 2500 Nigerians in this regard

\Omotosho who was Labour party gubernatorial candidate in Kwara state during the last general elections has the following as his planned target for the office: He hopes to leverage on the vision of past Rotary leaders to achieve them;

  • The need for community development
  • Increase the number of clubs and m embers across the district
  • Increase the district’s contribution to the Rotary Foundation
  • Leave a legacy of the Rotary House
  • Plans a Rotary centre

The theme of this year’s Rotary outing is “Be a Gift to the World”

He said “In our country today change has come and if this change would be allowed, Nigeria will thrive, children will grow in safety, get good education and improve their lives, potable water would be available and everyone will be the better for it”

He added that with a mindset of selfless service, corruption will be reduced and more resources will be released to alleviate poverty in the land.
