The former Inspector General of Police, Mike Okiro has commended security arrangement put in place by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the March 28,2015 general election.
He made this known to newsmen at his polling center on Kassim Ibrahim Way, Wuse 2, Abuja. On the election process going on at the time of the interview, he said that all was well. “Everything is going in order. There was no incidence of misread by the card reader”, he said.
He noted that the crowd control measure adopted by INEC was working well as the electoral officers attended to the electorates, ten persons at a time.
The IGP noted that there was no pressures at the polling booth as thing were moving almost according to schedule.
After accreditation he said he would go to his house and come back by 1pm when voting would have started. He did his accreditation before 11am.
The elections going on were Presidential, Senatorial and federal House of Representatives.
