The more you read, the more you live – Felicia Andepu

The MD of Goshen Duelar Ltd, Felicia Andepu has come up with a new philosophical saying that “The more you read, the more you live”. She made the assertion during the launch of four books written by Acting CP Emmanuel Ojukwu in Abuja. The books are: “ Beneath the Sagging Roof; The power of Focus; Sunset for Mr Dobromir and A Whiff of Kahara.

Felicia Andepu, whose company is into construction said she had known the author for quite some time. She believes that anyone who wants to advance in live most imbibe reading culture. “If you don’t read, you don’t acquire knowledge. So the more you read, the more you live. Reading is actually living”, she said.

Felicia Andepu told newsmen that the event was not the first book launch by the author. “He is my God father; his first book launch was four years ago in Owerri, Imo State”, she added. She advised the writer to use his vast knowledge to impact on the society literally. She also encourages everybody to read and advance in life.

The highly attended event had the former Minister of State for Education, Prof. Jerry Agada, in attendance.

In his remark at the event, Prof  Jerry Agada, urged Nigerians to imbibe reading culture.
He said Nigerians’ dislike for reading would soon be a thing of the past “as a lot of effort is being done in trying to make sure we revive the reading culture amongst Nigerians’’.
“I remember as a minister of state for education, I launched the National Action Committee on Read Campaign and it has been going around and because of that, so many books had been written.
“What we do is to encourage book writing and you cannot be writing without having people to read them: “So, a lot of efforts are being made to encourage people to read, and this is what Ojukwu has done. So, we say Nigerians should be reading.
“I commend the author for a job well done, writing a book is not an easy thing.
The Representative of the Inspector-General of Police, DIG Mamman Tsafe, said the book presentation indicated that there were intellectuals and academicians in the police.
“From this book presentation, you know definitely that police is highly intelligent with so   many intellectuals”, he asserted.
