The Director of Road Traffic Services, FCT, Danjuma Aliyu Garba has revealed that anybody who is below the age of 18 and drives vehicle on Nigerian road is committing an office. He said that whenever his men arrest such underage on the road, that their parents are invited to the office of Road Traffic (VIO) and advised to desist from allowing their wards to drive such as it has more implications than whatever fun can be derived from the adventure.

He made this disclosure during the launch of two books written by Mallam Aminu Iro. The books are; “A DAWO LAFIYA and YARO SAKI GANYE KAMA RESHE”. One of the books was on road traffic rules, while the other was on youth. Both were written in Hausa Language.

Danjuma Garba commended the Arthur for publishing the two books at the time they are most needed. He told newsmen that the books were originally written in English before the Hausa translation was made. He also said there was less abuse of road traffic rules during the festivities. He maintained that more need to be done in the area of sensitization of traffic rules.
