A retired Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mrs. Nkem Wadibia-Anyanwu, OON has advised Nigerians to put God first in whatever they do, as she believes that anybody who has faith in God can surmount any obstacles in life. She made this assertion at the 40th Birthday Evang. Jude S. C. Asogwa and Book Presentation/Launching of one of his books, THE SEED OF GREATNESS.
Amb. Wadibia Anyanwu described Evang. Asogwa as a young Nigerian with focus and fear of God. “He has passion in spreading the word of God”, she said. The retired Perm. Sec. who is a member of ‘Our Lady of Queen Cathedral and many other societies in the Catholic Church revealed that since she retired from the service, she had occupied herself with the search for God and service of God.
The celebrant, Evang. Jude S. C. Asogwa, in his welcome address expressed his gratitude to God for blessing him to attain the age of starting life. “It is said that life starts at 40, I key into this statement to say that God is just beginning with me”, he said. He observed the ungratefulness of man who is always quick to notice shortcomings in his life and will make much noise about it without trying to recognize God’s goodness in his life. He presented it thus; “It is obviously true that man is naturally ungrateful, this quite negates God’s original plans for him. The more God blesses us, the more blessings we pray for, more worrisome is the fact that we perpetually fix our eyes on what has been achieved rather than on what God has enabled us to achieve.”
‘THE SEED OF GREATNESS’ is one of the numerous works of the celebrant who marked his 40th birthday at the event. Evang. Asogwa has over 40publication to his credit, 24 of them are books and about 16 of them are devotional materials.
