Voter Registration: INEC-FCT extends date

The independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved seven days continuation of registration of voters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th September, 2014 from 8.00am to 4.00pmdaily.
A public announcement issued to that effect by INEC-FCT and signed by the Administrative Secretary of the Commission in FCT, A. A. Adamu reads in part; “The exercise is for the following categories of eligible persons: 1) If you did not register before; 2) You registered in 2011 but you did not find your name in the register of voter displayed during the distribution of permanent Voter Card; and 3) You have just turned 18years since the last registration exercise in 2011.”
The exercise according to the release will take place only at the Six (6) Area Council Offices in FCT thus: AMAC(Karu); Juje; Bwari; Kwali; Abaji and Gwagwalada.
The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Abuja is Dr. Godwin Kwanga , while Okezie Nwankwo is the Head Public Relations.
