The Area One President of Sisters Fellowship International (SFI), Abuja, Mrs. Chinwe Mokelu has posited that ladies are pillars of homes as their presence always bring comfort to the husband and the children in the family. She made this assertion at the 2014 SFI Praise Festival. She said the fellowship has been bringing succor to women who are looking for fruit of womb. The fellowship according to her is non-denominational and can accept non-Christians as members. The all women fellowship was founded 27years ago by Rev. Mrs. Nches Iredu in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The Vice Chairman of Asokoro chapter of SFI, Amb Gloria Ugwunze said that the association has branches in most countries of West Africa, United Kingdom, Canada, United State of America etc. “We are created for God’s pleasure. He said that if we fail to serve Him He will raise stones to serve Him. This is why we have come to serve Him – just to thank him and not to ask for anything”, she said.
The President of newly created Galadimawa branch of SFI, Mrs. Chinyere Iroele said that SFI is a wonderful fellowship where ladies come together to serve God. She said the association is funded through offerings and donations. “Every woman needs Jesus and one can see Him at work in SFI”, she said.
The President of FSI Karu, Mrs. Ifeoma Iheh who performed at the event narrated how she would have missed is because she had accident the previous week on Lokoja-Abuja Road. According to her the vehicle they were traveling in summersaulted three times but nobody in the vehicle was hurt. She said the accident was call for her to renew her commitment to the work of God.
Different chapters were represented at the annual event. The association has events in the last quarter of the year.
