The erstwhile President of the National Association of Women Journalist, NAWOJ, and delegate to the just concluded 2014, National Conference Comrade Brenda Akpan, alongside her husband, Victor Akpan, were coronated as the Iberedem Ufok Etinyin Effanga Offiong, In He Shaw town Calabar, Cross rivers state.
The event was attended by the creme de la creme of the society, including delegates to the National Conference,Chairman Dakar Communication PLC. High Chief Raymond Dopkesi, Former Minister Women affairs, Josephine Anineh, ex minister of Land, Hon. Nduenso Essien, NACCIMA President, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Commissioner of Women affairs, Cross rivers state, Hon. Patricia, amongst several others.
The reception held at the family house of Chief Victor Akpan, where gusts were treated to variety of dishes and assorted drinks, with guest left with several options, till they had their fill.
A major highlight was the dance by Chief Brenda Akpan and delegates to the confab, which them displaying the etigi dance among others.
