The voter’s card collection in FCT which started on Friday 15 August 2014 to end on Sunday 17 August 2014 has been extended to Tuesday 19 August, 2014. This is due to low turnout of voters at the designated collection centers in FCT.
A press release issue to that effect the FCT Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) read thus: “The distribution of Permanent Voter Cards exercise in the FCT has been extended by two (2) days. By this, the exercise which would have ended on the 17th Aug. 2014 will end on the 19th Aug. 2014. The time for the exercise remains the same, from 8:00 am to 4pm.”
This release is to enable those who were unable to collect due to one reason or the other to do so before the 19th of August, 2014.
