The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive officer of the Federal Capital Territory State Universal Basic Education Board, FCT SUBEB Alhaji Murtala Shuaibu, said the security of the students of the secondary schools in Abuja and its environs was paramount to them and of great priority and utmost concern to the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Bala Mohammed.
This he said at a security forum organized for all the secondary schools in the zone in the face of the current security situation and terrorist activities bedeviling the country especially in the north. He said they were not taking the security situation in the country lightly and that they would do anything within their competence and scope of resources available to them to protect the children and their schools.
Alhaji Murtala Shuaibu disclosed that schools in the Federal Capital have been doing very well in the academic works because they screen their teachers very well, interview them painstakingly and meticulously to ensure that the certificates they parade are actually theirs and that they really earned them before they employ them.
