NAWOJ Election: Correspondent Chapel preaches fair play

The National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT election will hold in the first week of September, 2014. The two contestants for chairmanship position of the union; Joy Monu and Felicia Chukwura came to the Chapel to solicit for support. Joy Monu works with News Day publication and she is a member of correspondent chapel, while Felicia Chukwura is a staff of information department of FCDA.

The two contestants were allowed to address the chapel before the chairman of the chapel, Tony Isheku responded on behalf of the chapel. Both contestants promised to bring changes to the system when voted into office. They also promised to carry each other along after the election is won and lost on 6 September, 2014.

Chairman of the correspondent chapel Tony Isheku of National Trail Newspaper, expressed delight that both ladies are not seeing the exercise as do or die and advised them to go into the election with the spirit of fair play as both of them have similar ideology.
