A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Ojiugo Hoha Foundation has partnered with Fortis Micro Finance Bank to empower Nigerians. The foundation which has her head office in Kurudu Abuja has being empowering Nigerians by teaching them skills and helping them to secure loan from their partner, Fortis Micro Finance Bank.
The Chairperson of the foundation Mrs. Rita Izunwa Onuekwusi told our correspondent that her foundation does not believe in giving rice and cloth materials to women; rather they teach them skill and empower them with seed money from Fortis Micro finance bank. According to her registration to be part of the beneficiaries is free for every Nigerian irrespective of religion or ethnicity.
Currently the Foundation is empowering 3000 registered members from Benue State on skills acquisition. She revealed that the foundation has offices in every state of the nation. The London returnee who has lived outside the shores of the country for over 28years commended President Goodluck Jonathan for his western style of leadership.
She made this comment at a political summit organized by Southern and Northern Support for President Jonathan (SONAS For PJ) in Abuja. She noted that the country has undergone remarkable changes since President Jonathan became the leader of the country. According to her she traveled to Enugu from Abuja on road and when she got to Enugu she could believe her eyes due to unimaginable changes that had taken place over the years. She said Nigerians in diaspora are rating the administration very high and she submitted that the president is imitating western leaders and it is paying off for the country.
