Speaking to newsmen at the occasion, Evang. Oluwafemi said she had to consult with mentors, especially Senate President David Mark, when the organizers’ told her that she had been chosen for the award. She said this was to avoid what would affect her status negatively. This was why it took her a long time to accept the award.

Speaking further, she said the import of the award is that her way of life will change reflect that of an Ambassador of Peace, and this she pointed is a big challenge which she must cope plus her already highly demanding work schedule. She promised that she will not fail those who she look up to in life, and those who come to her for guidance and mentorship.

The formal presentation and celebration of the award will take at the Eagle Square at the end of the month and Senate President, David Mark will grace the occasion with other dignitaries.
