DPWSDO PRESENTS EMPOWERMENT TOOLS TO WOMEN

Divine Precious Women Star Development Organization, which was founded by Evang. Evelyn Omawumi Oluwafemi, held the official presentation of empowerment tools to women, widows, youths, disabled, aged, and vulnerable group in the society.

In her welcome address at the, Founder/President of DPWSDO, Evang. (Mrs.) Evelyn Omawumi Oluwafemi, gave brief history of the organization which was formed in 2010 with only 56members at inception, at Zuba Gwagwalada Area Council of FCT. The aim and objective of the organization, according to the President, are; “To work for the upliftment and empowerment in our society to improve their standard of living in area of education, peace, welfare, health and to restore the dignity of our people in our society through decision making”. She said the formation of the NGO was occasioned by the gap created by utter neglect of women, disables, youth, vulnerable, children, orphans, widows aged and the less privileged in the society.

 The organization has graduated beneficiaries as follows: one hundred and ninety two (192) persons in fashion design; one hundred and nine (109) persons in hair dressing; ninety nine (99) persons in computer operations, and eighty (80) persons in cake making. The president at the end of her speech solicited from government and individuals to assist the NGO to acquire bus, land to build their permanent office within Abuja, and some tools and aids to be given to participants that have graduated.

Speaking to newsmen at the occasion, the founder said she was told in a dream to go back to Nigeria and preach prosperity to the masses by her daddy in the Lord, Bishop Oyedepo. She also revealed that there are some 419 NGOs who go about defrauding unsuspecting donors. The Kogi State born woman that is married to an Ekiti man said her husband has been supportive since the inception of the NGO.
